Reflection of the brief so far

I'm finding the brief enjoyable so far, I'm fairly pleased with the visuals I have created though I'm struggling to identify a style that feels like it's mine. I'm caught between my realistic approach to a brief and the more cartoon and edgy style. I think this is a problem that I might always have. I think my realistic illustrations are stronger and I know when I've produced good piece by the amount of hours I've put into it. It seems as though my approach of illustration changes to fulfil the needs of the brief. My final project last year saw me take on the cartoon approach to draw the celebrities which worked very well due to it's humorous topic, but when I compare that to what I am doing currently it looks as though a different artist has designed them.
